The short version: we collect what the marketplace needs to work, we share booking details only with the people in your booking, we don't sell your data, and the export and deletion controls in your account are real buttons that do real things.
Account: name, display name, email, profile photo — via Google sign-in or what you enter. If you verify a phone number, we store it (verification codes are handled by Twilio). Marketplace activity: listings you create, bookings on both sides (dates, services, prices, notes you write), reviews and their photos/videos, messages and their attachments, guarantee claims and reports you file. Technical: the cookies required to keep you signed in, and standard server logs. We do not collect your card numbers — payment details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor.
To run the marketplace: showing listings, processing bookings, delivering messages, publishing reviews, sending the transactional emails you've chosen in your notification settings, calculating provider payouts, and keeping the platform safe. If you use the AI-assisted listing setup, the text you provide is processed by Anthropic's API to help draft your listing. We use activity data to rank search results — rankings are earned through reviews and conduct, never bought.
The same promises as your account's Privacy tab, because they're the same system.
Public: your reviews, under your display name and photo; provider listings and their ratings. Your provider: when you book, they see the booking details you submit. Your conversations: visible to you and the person you're talking to. If a conversation is reported or becomes evidence in a guarantee claim, Phifr's trust team can review it to keep the platform safe — that review is disclosed in our Terms, is performed by humans, and every resulting action gets a case number. Nobody else: we don't sell personal data, we don't show ads, and we share data with authorities only when legally required.
Phifr runs on a small set of infrastructure providers who process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Google (sign-in), Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), Twilio (phone verification), Vercel Blob (photo and video storage), and Anthropic (AI listing assistance). Each receives only what its job requires.
The delete button files a real request, reviewed by a real human.
We keep your data while your account is active. You can request deletion anytime from your account's Privacy tab; every request gets a case number and human review, and you'll receive an email when it's complete. Deletion removes your personal information and access: your sign-in is severed, your profile is anonymized, and your listings come down. Records the other party relies on — completed bookings and published reviews — are retained in anonymized form (“Deleted member”), along with records we must keep for legal, tax, or safety reasons.
In your account: Download my data exports everything on your account as a single file; Request account deletion starts the process above; the Notifications tab controls which emails you receive, including marketing. These aren't form letters to a support queue — they're live controls wired to the systems they describe.
You must be 18 or older to use Phifr. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete it if we learn we have.
Data moves over encrypted connections and lives with the infrastructure providers above; access to trust-and-safety tooling is restricted to authorized personnel, and moderation actions are logged. No system is perfect — if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we'll tell you.
If this policy changes materially, we'll give notice on the site or by email before the change takes effect.
