These terms are a real agreement, but we've tried to write them like humans. Plain-language summaries appear in italics — the full text is what governs.
Using Phifr means you accept these terms. You must be 18.
Phifr (phifr.com) is a marketplace operated by Phifr LLC (“Phifr,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Phifr.
Providers are independent businesses. We run the marketplace; they perform the services.
Phifr connects customers with independent service providers. Providers are not Phifr's employees, agents, or contractors; they set their own prices, schedules, and methods, and they alone are responsible for performing their services safely, legally, and as described. When you book through Phifr, your service contract is with the provider. We work hard to make the marketplace trustworthy — verification, reviews, the Phifr Guarantee, and an active trust team — but we do not perform, supervise, or warrant the services themselves.
Keep your account information accurate and your credentials to yourself. You're responsible for activity on your account. One account per person; you must not use Phifr if we've previously suspended you for cause.
The price you see is the price you pay. Phifr keeps a small commission from the provider's side.
The price shown at booking is the price the customer pays; applicable sales tax, where required, is calculated and added at checkout. Phifr's platform fee — currently 3% of the booking price — is deducted from the provider's payout, not added to the customer's total. Payments are processed by Stripe; Phifr does not store your card details. Some bookings confirm instantly; others are requests until the provider accepts.
Customers may cancel a pending request or a confirmed booking from their bookings page before the service occurs; the provider is notified automatically. Providers may decline requests. Repeated no-shows or bad-faith cancellations, on either side, are grounds for account action under Section 9.
Three rules with real enforcement behind them.
(1) If a completed, Phifr-booked service materially fails to match its listing, you may file a guarantee claim with evidence, and we will review it and work to make it right, including driving a refund with the provider where warranted. (2) Claims are reviewed by a human; both sides may be asked for their account of events, and our trust team may review the booking's conversation as evidence. (3) The provider is always notified of the outcome. Validated claims result in strikes against the listing: strikes lower search ranking, and a listing that reaches three validated claims is suspended from the marketplace. Every claim receives a case number; decisions can be contested through phifr.com/contact with that case number.
Reviews must reflect a genuine booking and your honest experience. By posting content on Phifr (reviews, photos, videos, listing text, messages), you grant Phifr a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute it in connection with operating and promoting the marketplace. You must own or have rights to what you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms, is unlawful, or is the subject of a validated report.
Don't use Phifr to break the law, harass people, misrepresent yourself or your services, or endanger anyone. Don't solicit or accept payment off-platform for a service arranged through Phifr — circumventing the marketplace defeats the protections (and the guarantee) that make it work, and is grounds for suspension.
Reports get case numbers and human review. Strikes and suspensions are real, and you'll always be told why.
Anyone can report a listing, conversation, member, or booking. Reports receive a case number and are reviewed by a human. When a conversation is reported or is evidence in a claim, our trust team may review that conversation's contents. Enforcement actions include content removal, strikes (against listings or accounts), and suspension; three strikes suspends automatically. Suspended accounts cannot book, message, or review. Whenever we take action against you, we tell you what happened and why, and you may contest it via phifr.com/contact with your case number. Accounts may also be suspended immediately where necessary to protect safety or comply with law.
Our volunteer program connects vetted volunteers with families and partner organizations. Volunteer applications and help requests are human-verified before going live and receive case numbers. Volunteer services are provided free of charge, in good faith, and are not covered by the paid-booking guarantee in Section 6.
You can request account deletion anytime from your account's Privacy tab; a human reviews every request, and you'll receive an email when it's complete. Records of completed transactions and published reviews are retained without your personal details, as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts as described in Section 9.
PHIFR IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THE CONDUCT, QUALITY, SAFETY, OR LEGALITY OF PROVIDERS OR THEIR SERVICES BEYOND THE EXPRESS COMMITMENTS OF THE PHIFR GUARANTEE.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PHIFR LLC'S TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE MARKETPLACE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE PLATFORM FEES PHIFR EARNED FROM YOUR TRANSACTIONS IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
You agree to indemnify Phifr LLC against claims arising from your content, your services (if you're a provider), or your breach of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us and give us 30 days to work it out — most things resolve with a case number and a conversation. Any litigation must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.
We may update these Terms as Phifr grows. For material changes we'll give notice (on the site or by email) before they take effect; continuing to use Phifr after that means you accept the updated Terms.
